PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a choke closed state holding means. SOLUTION: This choke valve controller of the carburetor comprises the choke closed state holding means 72 holding a choke lever 33 in a closed state C when the choke lever 33 connected to a choke valve 31 and energized by a spring in the opening direction of the choke valve 31 is rotated to a closed position C but releasing the holding of the choke lever 33 by the throttle operation of the carburetor 23 after starting an engine. The choke closed state holding means 72 comprises a lock arm 49 which, when the choke lever 33 is rotated to the closed position C when continuously connected to the choke lever 33 and a throttle lever 40 is at an open state corresponding to the full open position of the throttle valve 32, resiliently passes over together with a lock arm 49 to stop the retreating and rotation thereof by the lock arm 49.
