PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional breather device that an inlet portion of blowby gas of a breather chamber is structured in a duct extending downward from a bottom plate, wherein the inside of the duct is flat without protrusions formed therein, so that when oil on a cylinder head face is shaken violently, the oil directly enters the duct, and a predetermined breathing performance cannot be secured. SOLUTION: In a breather device of an engine for removing oil mist in blowby gas, a baffle plate is provided at the lower edge of the inlet duct 6 protruding downward from an opening portion 5a of a shield plate 5 which is the inlet portion of the breather chamber 21.
