PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a joined part between a pile head and a foundation slab from being bent and ruptured in earthquake. SOLUTION: In this earthquake-proof pile 11, an elastic hinge part 13 is formed on the pile head side of a pile body 12. Though the earthquake-proof pile 11 is joined to the foundation member 14 of an upper structure, the elastic hinge part 13 which is the head part of the earthquake-proof pile 11 can be joined to the foundation member 14 in any way and, therefore, the elastic hinge part 13 formed on the pile head side may be rigidly joined to the foundation member 14. The pile body 12 is formed of an RC using ordinary reinforcements, and the elastic hinge part 13 is formed of an RC using reinforcements formed of a steel material with a low yield point.
