PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling blade coating method and a rolling blade coating device which control fluctuations of coating weight in a web width direction which are generated at the time of high-speed coating so that homogeneous coating weight in the web width direction can be provided. SOLUTION: The rolling blade coating method, comprising a step of transferring an excess quantity of a coating liquid to a web which is continuously running and a subsequent step of applying a desired coating weight by measuring with the rolling blade, includes at least a rolling blade pressing process which presses the rolling blade against the web supported on the underside with a back up roll by means of a holder.
