PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently decontaminate the ground water contaminated with oil by selectively/efficiently recovering the oil floating in the upper part of an aquifer. SOLUTION: The oil floating in the upper part of the aquifer is made to flow in a well 1 arranged in the aquifer. The oil accumulated on the water in the well 1 is sucked by a suction pipe 2 inserted into the well 1 and removed (a suction step). After that, the suction pipe 2 is moved upward and the suction by the suction pipe 2 is continued, so that oil is made to flow in the well 1 from the periphery of the well (an inflow step). After the oil of the predetermined amount is accumulated on the water, the suction pipe 2 is lowered, so that the accumulated oil is sucked by the suction pipe 2.
