<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transceiver with small foot print and minimal components and having characteristics for improved heat dissipation. <P>SOLUTION: A photoelectric module of this invention comprises: a main body of a material having high thermal conductivity; a flexible circuit conforming to the main body; a wafer level package electrically coupled to the flexible circuit and including at least one photoelectric device having an active region; an alignment element having the shape matched with an optical fiber connector and including structure for aligning the active region of the photoelectric device to an optical fiber; and a fiber receptacle attached to the main body for coupling with the optical fiber connector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
