METHOD FOR MEASURING DEPOSIT AMOUNT OF COAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for rapidly and accurately measuring a deposit amount on a work line even if the kind or state of a coat given onto a metal plate varies.

SOLUTION: Infrared light L1 is directed to the coat 40 given onto the metal plate 30 via a first optical fiber 20A connected to a light emitting part 2 of a Fourier transformation infrared spectrophotometer 10. Reflected light L2 from the coat 40 is directed to a light receiving part 3 via a second optical fiber 20B connected to the receiving part 3 of the spectrophotometer 10. From an obtained infrared absorption spectrum, an absorption band used as an index is selected to measure the deposit amount of the coat 40 by using an analytical curve for the absorption band.
