<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar system avoiding the adverse effect of widening visual field capable of widening the visual field without increasing the scanning strokes. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided with a scanning mechanism 5 in which the scanning beam width at the end of the scanning area becomes wider than that of the beam at the center, and an operation part 4 for determination of both the ends of the object, from the data of reception intensity of the reflection wave (amount of the reception rays) for each detection area divided into the scanning direction the continuous wave shape of reception intensity corresponding to the scanning position is set up, from the continuous wave shape a peak is extracted, based on the reception intensity of the peak both the ends determination threshold value (threshold B of the reception amount) is set up, at both the sides of the peak of the continuous wave shape, the scanning positions where the threshold value is same as the reception intensity are determined as both the ends of an object (left end D, right end E). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
