POLYESTER FILM FOR COATING METAL SHEET, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THIS POLYESTER FILM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POLYESTER FILM-COATED METAL SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for coating a metal sheet with advantages such as substantially broad part where metal sheet is laminated, least loss of materials, nature of film which hardly ruptures, outstanding plate workability, and low incidence of appearance failure on the outer surface of a metal can due to hot water sterilization treatment, and a method for manufacturing this polyester film and a method for manufacturing a polyester film-coated metal sheet.

SOLUTION: This polyester film for coating a metal sheet is obtained by hardening a molten resin film of a polyester resin composition composed of polyester with a mixture ratio of polyester with not higher than 145°C crystallization temperature (Tc1) to olefin polymer being 70:30 to 99:1 wt% with the help of a cooling roll with 0.2 to <4.0μm surface roughness (Ra) and monoaxially stretching the hardened resin film at least in the longitudinal direction. In addition, the average dispersion diameter of the olefin polymer contained in the polyester film is 2 to 10μm.
