PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To analyze an unlimited number of components by a minimum number of columns. SOLUTION: Channels are connected to one another by valves 66, 68, 70, and 72 so that three trap columns 60, 62, and 64 may independently act. The state of the columns connected in such a way that condensation in the trap column 60, desalination in the trap column 62, and elution in the trap column 64 may be simultaneously performed is shown. A condensation operation, a desalination operation, and an elution operation are switched by the valves 66, 68, 70, and 72 while simultaneously being performed in the different trap columns 60, 62, and 64.
