PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission belt having heat resistance, excellent belt durability and well-balanced low-temperature crack resistance. SOLUTION: A belt main body of the transmission belt is manufactured from an elastomer material comprising 100 pts.wt. of nitrile group-containing copolymer rubber, which is partially hydrogenated, and 0.5-50 pts.wt. of fiber reinforcing material having a ratio of length to diameter per 100 pts.wt. of rubber more than 10:1. The nitrile group-containing copolymer rubber has (1) 5-40% of unsaturated nitrile monomer, (2) a second monomer of a group formed of 1-80% of non-fluorine-containing unsaturated carboxylic acid ester monomer and fluorine-containing vinyl monomer, or an optional monomer having a characteristic for lowering glass transition temperature of the rubber, (3) 20% or less of conjugated diene monomer and (4) hydrogenated conjugated diene monomer unit as residual. Total contents of the monomer (1) and the monomer (2) is 30-90wt.% and total contents of the monomer (3) and the monomer (4) is 10-70 wt.%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
