FILTER UNIT AND VACUUM CLEANER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which maintains strong sucking force for a long period of time and reduces a load on the maintenance of a filter unit. SOLUTION: A filter unit 20 for a cleaner comprises a porous PTFE membrane 21c arranged on the farthest upstream side and a nonwoven fabric 21d pasted on the PTFE membrane on the downstream side, wherein the nonwoven fabric 21d is pleated and the open angle of the pleat is 15°to 30°. By this, dust on the surface of a filter medium 21 is easily removed by adding impact to the filter unit 20, and consequently a vacuum cleaner using the filter unit 20 maintains strong sucking force for a long period of time and reduces a load on the maintenance of the filter unit.
