A screwdriver set for safe working on live electric systems has a central plastic section (1) inside which are located the grip socket for the tool bits and the bottom end of the support shaft (2) of the handle. The adjacent ends of the support shaft and the tool bit socket are embedded in plastic with a preset spacing to prevent flash over for up to 10,000 Volts. The tool bit shaft is fitted with an insulating sleeve right down to behind the tip (3a).
