<p>A free-running hub forms part of a rotary assembly e.g. rotating shaft, motor shaft or similar, and has two rings (2, 4) with a locking mechanism (7) between the two rings and which operates independently of the direction of rotation. The free-running hub forms part of the reverse-rotation blocking mechanism. One ring (2) may be coupled with a rotating element, while the other ring (4) is fixed to a chassis or other fixed assembly. The ring (4) also incorporates a temperature sensor (11).</p> |
