<p>Nucleating agent based on hyperbranched polymer (I) is claimed, where (I) has a 10-500 divalent ester, carbonate, ether, thioether, amide, urethane, urea or aminopropionyl groups, each terminated by a linear saturated 8-40 carbon alkyl group and optionally a smaller number of such groups terminated by organic groups that increase solubility and/or dispersibility. Nucleating agent based on hyperbranched polymers of formula (I) is claimed: [Structure (I) as given below] n, m : 0 or 1 or n+m is less than k; k : about 10-500; L1, L2, L3 : divalent ester, carbonate, ether, thioether, amide, urethane, urea or -C(O)-CH2-CH2-NR' groups; R, R' : the same or different linear saturated 8-40 C alkyl groups; M1 : the same or different 10-1000 C organic groups promoting solubility; M2 : the same or different 10-100 C organic groups causing dispersion, which can contain N atom(s) in uncharged or zwitterion form . An independent claim is also included for preparation of this nucleating agent.</p> |
