<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system effectively exhausting residual moisture remained in a fuel cell by relatively simple structure without stopping the operation of the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: When stopping the operation of the fuel cell, dry hydrogen gas and air are supplied from a hydrogen gas supply means 2 and an air supply means 3 to the fuel cell 1, respectively, and a coolant is supplied to the fuel cell 1 by a coolant circulation means 4 while circulating it after breaking an output current of the fuel cell 1 by turning off a switch 15. At this time, at the coolant circulation means 4, the coolant is made to flow not through a radiator 31 but through a bypass flow channel 32. By this, heat a retention property of the fuel cell is enhanced, and the residual moisture can be smoothly exhausted by hydrogen and air while evaporating the residual moisture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
