<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a new neutral rhodium-phosphine complex capable of producing the rhodium-phosphine complex useful as an asymmetric synthesis catalyst by a simple operation in a good yield. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the neutral rhodium-phosphine complex expressed by the formula: [Rh(μ-X)(L)]<SB>2</SB>[wherein, X is bromine atom or iodine atom; and L is an optically active bidentate phosphine ligand] is provided by performing the reaction of a rhodium complex expressed by the general formula: [Rh(μ-Cl)(Q)]<SB>2</SB>[wherein, Q is 1,5-cyclooctadiene or norbornadiene] with an alkali metal salt expressed by MX [wherein, M is an alkali metal atom; and X is the same as above] to make a neutral rhodium complex expressed by the formula: [Rh(μ-X)(Q)]<SB>2</SB>[wherein, Q and X are each the same as above] and the reacting with the optically active bidentate phosphine ligand. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
