<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of reproduced image data by preventing the degradation of in the S/N of image data due to the incidence of unnecessary light except diffracted light into a reproduced light optical system. <P>SOLUTION: In a reproduction mode, a closed shutter 24 is arranged between a signal light optical system 21 and a hologram recording medium 23. Thus, illumination reference light 200 is emitted to the hologram recording medium 23 to be reflected partially. Reflected light 201 is cut off by the shutter 24 and not incident to the signal light optical system 21, so that the reflected light 201 is not returned to the side of the hologram recording medium 23 folded back from the signal light optical system 21. Thus, since only diffracted light 300 generated by the hologram recording medium 23 is incident on an imaging apparatus 25 through a reproduced light optical system 22, the S/N of the reproduced image data is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
