<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup apparatus in which a positional relationship between a light spot in an optical disk and a light spot in a photodetection means becomes proper even if an objective lens is shifted or tilted. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical pickup apparatus comprised of an objective lens 16 for converging laser light L1 emitted from a light source 4 onto an information recording plane (d) of an optical disk D, and a photodetection means 20 for detecting reflection light reflected from the information recording plane of the optical disk via the objective lens, the optical pickup apparatus is comprised of a moving amount detection means 24 for detecting a shift amount of the objective lens, and a liquid crystal element 26 which is disposed between the objective lens and the photodetection means so as to generate the shift amount of a light spot generated in the photodetection means in an opposite direction of the shift amount of the objective lens, and in which a refraction factor for an applied voltage changes. Thus, even if the objective lens is shifted or tilted, between the light spot in the optical disk and the light spot in the photodetection means, a positional relationship becomes proper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
