<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indwelling needle structure having a sufficient self closing property after an inner needle is retained to a seal material for several years in the indwelling needle for use in transfusion and dialysis. <P>SOLUTION: The indwelling needle body 10 is provided with a cylindrical main route 13 communicated to a pipe-shaped outer needle 11 and connected to an inner needle storage body 30, a branch route 14 connected and branched to communicate to the main route 13 for sending the transfusion to the inside of the outer needle 11, and a seal material 16 forming a boundary between the branch route 14 and the inner needle storage body 30 inside the main route 13 and penetrating the inner needle 21 when catching the blood vessel. The seal material 16 has a self closing function and is provided with a disk-shaped circumferential part 16b, and a flat plate shape inner needle penetration part 16a erected from the center of its circumferential part 16. The circumferential part 16b is supported to a seal support member 17 supporting the circumferential part 16b from the side of counter-outer needle 11 in the main route 13 of the indwelling needle body 10.
