PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PLC (power line communication) relaying apparatus for using an optimum PLC relaying apparatus so as to be capable of quickly transmitting a communication signal regardless of autonomous and distributing relay control and to provide a relaying method and a power line communication system. SOLUTION: The PLC relaying apparatus 10 for relaying the communication signal between PLC terminals for making power line communication is characterized in to include: a storage section 101 for storing terminal information related to communication available PLC terminals and relaying apparatus information with respect to communicatable PLC relaying apparatuses 10 as communicatable apparatus information; a table processing section 122 for storing communicatable apparatus information corresponding to a communication source PLC terminal 11 and the PLC relaying apparatus 10 to the storage section 101 when receiving a communication signal; and a control section 102 for varying a relay time from a reception time of the communication signal to be relayed from a communication origin PLC terminal until a transmission time of transmitting the communication signal to a communication destination PLC terminal on the basis of the communicatable apparatus information when receiving the communication signal to be relayed.
