摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical substance diffusion degree evaluation device and an evaluation method, capable of accurately and rapidly measuring a diffusion amount of a toxic chemical substance in a living space, screening a building material, or specifying a cause portion in a building having high chemical substance concentration. SOLUTION: A sampling vessel is installed with a semiconductor sensor, a prescribed amount of a great variety of measurement objects is introduced in the sampling vessel, a reading value of the semiconductor sensor is recorded over a prescribed time, and correlation between a large number of obtained reading values and a chemical substance diffusion velocity (μg/(m<SP>2</SP>h)) of the measurement object by additional precise measurement equipment is found by multiple regression analysis. Thereby, a correlation expression between the great variety of general measurement objects and the general chemical substances (total volatile organic compounds) is found, or correlation is graphed. Thereafter, by applying the sensor reading value of a new measurement object by the sampling vessel to the correlation expression or the correlation graph, a chemical substance diffusion degree of the new measurement object is evaluated.
