PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll fluid machine with a drive shaft pivot part capable of coping with different bearings or drive shafts with different lengths of the bearing pivot parts and, if the bearing pivot part is broken or mal-functions, enabling the easy replacement thereof with a normal one for a long-term proper operation. SOLUTION: In this scroll fluid machine, a closed chamber is formed between a swing lap and a fixed lap 5 by engaging the swing lap 9 in a swing scroll 7 formed by vertically installing the swing lap 9 on a swing end plate 8 pivotally supported, through a bearing 24, on an eccentric shaft part 13 formed integrally with the drive shaft 12 with the fixed lap 5 in the fixed scroll 1 formed by vertically installing the fixed lap 5 on the fixed end plate 4, and a rotation prevention mechanism 16 for preventing the rotating motion of the swing scroll 7 is disposed. The drive shaft 12 is formed separately from the housing 17 of the scroll fluid machine, and pivotally supported in a bearing tube 25 so as to be detachably fitted to the housing 17.
