PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant crash protection ensuring safety of the occupant at rear collision. SOLUTION: The occupant crash protection is characterized in that it has: a rear collision detection means 1 for detecting collision from a rear side; and a seat transferring means 3 for transferring a seat back 21 of the vehicle to a predetermined position when the detection signal from the rear collision detection means 1 is inputted. In the occupant crash protection, even if the vehicle is subjected to collision from the rear side and an upper body of the occupant is rearward transferred, since there is a gap between the upper body and the seat back, the upper body of the occupant is not strongly hit to the seat back.
