The device has lifter rod parts relatively adjustable by an actuator motor, a motion transfer coupling between the motor and at least one rod part and an emergency closing device with an emergency actuator connected. The emergency closing device is a force storage device. The coupling device can be released in an emergency so the rod parts can be displaced to the initial actuation position by build-up of tension in the force storage device. The device has rod parts (1,2) of a window lifter rod relatively adjustable by an actuator motor (8), a motion transfer coupling between the motor and at least one rod part and an emergency closing device with an emergency actuator connected to at least one rod part for relative displacement of the rod parts into the window (6) closed position. The emergency closing device consist of a force storage device. The coupling device can be released in an emergency so that the rod parts can be displaced to the initial actuation position corresponding to the closed window position by the build-up of tension in the force storage device.
