The diode has a light emitting semiconductor chip (13) and a light-emitting diode body (20). The body consists of an optical component (30) that influences light radiation, where the optical component is an optical lattice or a micro optics. The optical lattice has a depth of maximum 10 millimeters. The diode is manufactured by transformation tools that are independent of optical characteristics of the diode. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a light-emitting diode.
