Memory card for an electronic unit has a memory unit for storing electronic data in a file system, at least a connection interface which permits a connection to an electronic unit, at least a second interface for reading in data from a measurement sensor and a processing unit that is able to autonomously processes the read-in sensor information and store it in the memory unit as a file within a file system. Independent claims are also included for the following:- (A) a data carrier for a computer and; (B) a portable computer system with a memory card slot.
