<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that oscillation takes place in both transverse vibration mode and longitudinal vibration mode when a voltage of in-phase or antiphase is applied to an ultrasonic vibrator, and an ultrasonic motor is driven unstably. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic motor comprises two Langevin type ultrasonic vibrators provided with a piezoelectric element, a member for holding the two ultrasonic vibrators at a predetermined angle, and a contact member of substantially V-shape touching a driven body at the top part thereof and being connected with the two ultrasonic vibrators at the end part thereof. The ultrasonic vibrator is constituted of a housing member and a bolt member for tightening the piezoelectric element wherein the head part of the housing member has a shape plane symmetric to the central axis of the head part when the bolt member is screwed into the housing member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
