PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller which reduces the power consumption and gives no wrong indication. SOLUTION: A comparator 17 compares data from a memory 14 with data from a shift register 15 to output a first comparison signal. A comparator 18 compares data to be inputted to the memory 14 with data from a shift register 16 to output a second comparison signal. The data from the shift register 15 and the data from the shift register 16 are inputted to an indication data controller 19, and an indication drive circuit 20 converts for outputting either of both data, corresponding to a combination of the first comparison signal with the second comparison signal, into indication data, resulting in data containing no wrong converted character.
