PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal with a camera which eliminates effect of camera shake as much as possible, and can photograph a good image even when instruction of photographing execution is made by a release button prepared in a position where camera shake tends to occur. SOLUTION: A mobile telephone set 1 with a camera determines combination of shutter speed, photographing sensitivity, and an aperture value using a standard program diagram, and performs exposure control, if a release button 7 is pressed in a state that the mobile telephone set 1 is closed. On the other hand, the mobile telephone set 1 determines combination of shutter speed, photographing sensitivity, and the aperture value using a camera shake prevention program diagram in which shutter speed is set higher than the standard program diagram, and performs exposure control, if a release button 6 is pressed in a state that the mobile telephone set is open.
