PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system and the like capable of correctly correcting a projection image in a shorter time.

SOLUTION: The projector comprises: an image projection section 190; a sensor 60 for imaging a first projected calibration image with a lower resolution to generate first imaging information, for imaging the first calibration image with a higher resolution to generate third imaging information, and for imaging the second calibration image to generate second imaging information; a projection object region detection section 180 for generating the projection object region information on the basis of the first, second and third imaging information items; and an image distortion correction section 112 for correcting distortion of the image projected by an image projection section 190 on the basis of the projection region information and the projection object region information.
