PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a lithium ion secondary battery superior in the balance of a shut-down property and a melt-down property. SOLUTION: The porous membrane includes a polyamideimide resin layer containing an isophorone structure in an amine component with a glass transition temperature of 70°C or higher and a logarithm viscosity of 0.5 dl/g or higher, and has a total thickness 5-100μm. The lithium ion secondary battery interposes this porous membrane as a separator between a positive electrode and a negative electrode capable of storing and releasing a lithium ion.
