MEMORY MODULE SYSTEM FOR EFFECTIVELY CONTROLLING ODT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory module system for effectively controlling ODT. SOLUTION: For ODT control in the memory module system, only one pin from a memory controller of memory devices is used to transmit a command signal indicating one activated memory device. The activated memory device includes a component element that is turned on to create an ODT control signal for controlling an ODT circuit of a deactivated memory device. A component in the deactivated memory device for creating an ODT control signal is turned off in order to minimize power consumption. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
