PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web application server system capable of acquiring users' session data with reliability by a GUI application server in an environment in which processing at a single session is executed while moving among a plurality of application servers. SOLUTION: The web application server system comprises a plurality of application servers that execute a document-based application while moving user session data, and a GUI application server that offers a GUI application through the application servers. In response to a request from a user who is using the GUI, an application server acquires and retains user session data from another application server if the user's session data has not been possessed, and sends an ID of the application server's own to the GUI application server.
