PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practically excellent cooker with a low-cost structure since consuming low when not in use and having excellent ease of use. SOLUTION: This cooker comprises a power consumption restraining means 9 consisting of a heating room 1, an opening/closing means 2, a heating means 13, a control means 6, a power source means 7, an input means 4, a display means 5, a frequency dividing circuit 10, a microcomputer 11 and a frequency generating means 12, operates the control means with minimum required power consumption when the heating means is not in use, and releases the power consumption restraining means by input from the input means 4.
