PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in a tile replacing method, risks of falling of tiles involved in works of removing existing tiles increase, and the cause of uplifting of tiles is not completely eliminated even after the existing tiles are removed and replaced with new ones, with concerns on safety. SOLUTION: In the falling preventive construction method for existing tiles, a cutout groove is formed at a joint cross which connects tiles on the tile walls such as the outer wall or the like of an existing building, or at the joint material of the cross consisting of four tiles for straight joint and of three tiles for joint, completely exposing the butt end of the tiles 4, four tiles for the straight joints and three tiles for the joints up to about 8 cm. Then, a hole a of about 5.5 mm in diameter is drilled 25 mm or more deep into a building frame concrete layer, and an adhesive agent is filled in the hole a and the cutout groove. After that, a shaft body 5B of metal fitting having a through hole 6 at the head is inserted into the hole a, furthermore the mutually neighboring tiles 4 in the head part 5A are combined to prevent peeling off of the tiles 4.
