PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin cosmetic which feels light in use to quickly agree with the skin, is not sticky even after use, excels in persistence of humectant effects, ameliorating effects on skin roughening, suppressing effects on wrinkles, furthermore imparts firmness to the skin, and also excels in stability with time. SOLUTION: The skin cosmetic comprises (a) 0.005-10 mass% polymer containing a 2-(meth)acryloyloxyethylphosphorylcholine represented by formula (I)(wherein R<SP>1</SP>is hydrogen or a methyl group; R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>, and R<SP>4</SP>are each a 1-8C alkyl group; and n is an integer of 2-4) and an alkyl (meth)acrylate at a constituting ratio of 100/0 to 10/90 in an amount of 60-100 mass% and (b) 0.0001-5 mass% extract in terms of a dry residue obtained by extracting Polygonum tinctorium Lour.
