PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a hydraulic cured body applicable to a moisture absorbing /releasing material, malodor adsorbent, etc., by increasing a specific surface area. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the hydraulic cured body includes a process of mixing a hydraulic composition and microcapsules and curing and hardening the mixture, then firing the mixture at a temperature at which the microcapsules are completely burned or volatilized or above. Also, the manufacturing method includes a molding process of molding the mixture to a prescribed shape and the prescribed shape is preferably a honeycomb shape. The method can increase the specific surface area of a hydraulic molding even if the hydraulic molding is molded under high molding pressure by using a mold of a smooth flat surface.
