PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fine particles such as metallic oxide fine particles and metal fine particles by a method comprising simple steps at a low cost with easy controlling of particle diameters. SOLUTION: Fine particles such as metallic oxide fine particles and metal fine particles are obtained by heat treating a metal plating liquid at 40°C to 95°C to induce self decomposition of the plating liquid. The particle diameter of the fine particles obtained by the heat treatment is controlled by conditioning the retention time of the heat treatment in the range of 0.1 to 5 hours. The metallic oxide particles obtained by the above method for manufacturing fine particles are further reduced to obtain the metal fine particles. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
