PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound absorbing material structure for a fairing for securely preventing generation of contamination, and securely preventing dropout. SOLUTION: An entire sound absorbing material main body 24 is covered with a cover body 21. The cover body 21 is formed of material for preventing permeation of sound absorbing material for forming the sound absorbing material main body 24 with air permeability. Thereby, an area for permeating gas can be increased even when filter performance per unit area is improved. And thus, the gas in the cover body 21 can be easily discharged outside to prevent the sound absorbing material from coming out from the cover body 21 and being contaminated. Furthermore, the gas in the cover body 21 is smoothly discharged, inflation of the cover body is prevented, an increase of a load acting on the cover body 21 is prevented, and the sound absorbing material structure for the fairing 20 is prevented from dropping from a fairing 22.
