PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate setting in a DBMS system efficiently utilizing a data cache of a storage device by optimizing the amount of assignment by dividing a cache of DBMS and the cache of the storage device into data while exclusively utilizing said caches. SOLUTION: Mapping information of a data storage region in each of layers from a DBMS to a storage device is acquired, a corresponding relationship of storage positions between DB data and the storage device is grasped therefrom, and a cache dividing method in the storage device is determined based on the grasped relationship and set to the storage device. Furthermore, when changing the amount of cache assignment in the DBMS or in the storage device, a cache effect in the storage device is estimated utilizing information for cache effect estimation by changing the cache amount assignment acquired in the DBMS.
