A gas generator converts wood into gas. A sedimentation vessel provides for coarse purification of the gas. The gas temperature is reduced by heat exchange and cooling, recovering waste heat for exploitation. A post-purification stage follows. The thermochemical process is initiated using a blower. A gas-air mixer and air filter produce flammable gas mixture which is supplied to a water-cooled gas engine. Its exhaust is fitted with a silencer and heat exchanger. A heat storage unit has supply connections from the heat exchanger, gas generator, gas cooler, gas engine, exhaust system and exhaust gas cooler. Extraction connections provide for central heating plant and water heating. The generator is asynchronous, and is connected to a transformer and rectifier with a charging controller for a bank of storage accumulators. An inverter provides domestic electricity supply. |
