AVERAGE PORE DIAMETER CONTROL METHOD FOR POROUS BODY INCLUDING APATITE/COLLAGEN COMPOSITE FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the average pore diameter of a porous body in a process to produce the porous body including an apatite/collagen composite fiber.

SOLUTION: The porous body including the apatite/collagen composite fiber is manufactured by making dispersion into gel, the dispersion including: the apatite/collagen composite fiber; collagen; and water, freezing and drying the obtained gel body to form a porous body, and bridging the collagen in the porous body. The method for controlling the average pore diameter of the porous body is provided by which the average pore diameter of the porous body is controlled by the coagulation time of the gel body in the above freezing process.
