<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To observe a stylet without using X-ray diagnostic equipment when guiding catheter by the stylet to insert into a living body. <P>SOLUTION: A stylet main body 10 consists of: a metal bar 7 to be inserted to the catheter 2; and a tip-side member 12 fitted to the tip side of the bar 7. The tip-side member 12 is formed of elastic material. In the elastic material of the tip-side member 12, a large number of granular metal materials 13 which reflect ultrasonic waves emitted from an ultrasonic contrastradiographic apparatus more strongly than biological tissues are mixed. The catheter 2 is inserted to the living body with the stylet 1 inserted therein. In this case, the surface of the living body is irradiated with the ultrasonic waves of the ultrasonic contrastradiographic apparatus to observe the tip side of the stylet 1 on a screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
