FEATURE SIMILARITY DETERMINATION DEVICE, PROGRAM, AND FEATURE SIMILARITY DETERMINATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feature similarity determination device for evaluating a sample of time series data to be determined that effectively determines similarity to a population even of an event whose behavior representing characteristics is difficult to determine.

SOLUTION: An incremental singular value decomposition part 11 performs singular value decomposition of a sample to be determined and a dimensional compression part 6 performs dimensional compression to produce main components amounting to the number of dimensions K. A similarity determination part 12 computes a distance in the dimensional space between the center of gravity of positions of main components of a population of other time series data mapped to the space and a feature point by the main components of the sample, and if the distance is short, determines that the sample is similar to the population.
