PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed polyimide molded article resistant to heat and optionally shaped, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The foamed polyimide molded article is manufactured by a method wherein a prefoamed polyimide resin body is pulverized and mixed with a heat resistant binder comprising an end-modified imide oligomer, and the mixture is molded and baked, or by a method wherein a prefoamed polyimide resin body is pulverized and mixed with a heat resistant binder comprising an end-modified imide oligomer, the mixture is molded into a predetermined shape, and the molding is baked at≥350°C for hardening the binder for strongly binding the foamed polyimide resin body.
