PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminator capable of beautifully finishing lamination treatment to a medium to be recorded, without damaging the appearance of a finish surface by interposition of dust or the like and performing end edge treatment after the lamination treatment of a medium to be recorded. SOLUTION: A laminate material having a size larger than that of the medium to be recorded is superposed on the medium to be recorded so as to cover the same to be bonded thereto under heating and pressure and a laminate layer is transferred to a means to be transferred, which is arranged on the surface side opposite to the recording surface of the medium to be recorded by the quantity protruded from the medium to be recorded. Further, a roll, around which the base material is wound so as to be turned outside and a laminate layer is wound so as to be turned inside, is used as a laminate material supply roll.
