PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide traffic information according to a traffic state in each advancing direction to a vehicle in case that the vehicle is advanced to any one of branching direction in a branch part peripheral area including a branch part. SOLUTION: A traffic information server 1 collects information for necessary time for movement, with respect to a branch part peripheral area composed of a before-branch route and a plurality of after-branch routes branched from the before-branch route through the branch part, from an information providing vehicle 3b by a means 21, and forms information for time required for movement for every advancing direction in the branch part peripheral area by a means 22. The server 1 transmits, on receipt of a providing request of traffic information from a navigation device 4 of an information receiving vehicle 3a, information for necessary time for movement for every advancing direction, or information for necessary time for movement for every route in the branch peripheral area formed therefrom to the navigation device 4.
