PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking stove having good appearance and easiness of cleaning, and capable of further improving thermal efficiency and thermal output. SOLUTION: The cooking stove is provided with a tabular top plate 1, a top plate opening 2 formed in an opened state in the top plate 1 to be mounted with an object N to be heated on its periphery, a burner 3 provided at a distance below the top plate opening 2, burning fuel gas, forming flame below the top plate opening 2, and heating the object N to be heated, and an exhaust means for exhausting exhaust gas of a combustion part 11 formed between the top plate opening 2 and the burner 3 to the outside via a lower side of the top plate 1. A gap forming part for forming a gap S sending out the exhaust gas to the outside is provided between the top plate 1 and the object N to be heated mounted on the periphery of the top plate opening 2 of the top plate 1.
