PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the device cost, an installation space and the operation cost of a combustion device for a melting furnace and to improve the heating efficiency to a melted object. SOLUTION: In this combustion device for the melting furnace comprising a blowing passage for combustion 6 for blowing an oxygen-containing gas A for combustion from tip blowing ports 6a of furnace walls 1c, 1d toward an above-pot intra-furnace space 5 at an upper part of a lower melting pot 2 in the melting furnace, and a fuel injector 7 for injecting a gas fuel G from the neighborhood of the tip blowing ports 6a on the furnace walls 1c, 1d or the neighborhood of the tip blowing port 6a of the blowing passage for combustion 6 toward the above-pot intra-furnace space 5, the fuel injector 7 is provided with a surrounding heat exchanging passage RX for surrounding the tip injection passage R1 and the gas fuel G supplied from the fuel supply passage R is injected from the tip injecting passage R1 through the heat exchanging passage RX.
